Brachycephalic Procedures

Brachycephalic airway disease is a debilitating and progressive condition which affects many aspects of a dogs quality of life.

Classically, the English and French Bulldog are affected as well as the Pug, Boston Terrier, Maltese, Shih Tsu and Lhasa Apso. The hallmark of the disease is obstruction at the back of the throat causing trouble breathing, exercising, and sleeping. Secondarily, gastroesophageal reflux, regurgitation, and pneumonia are common consequences. Airway surgery performed by our surgical specialists can ameliorate the clinical signs of this disease, slow progression and improve quality of life for a sustained amount of time, giving your pets happier and longer lives.
